Quick Salsa Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Large Boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 2 tsp taco. seasoning mix , from 1.25 oz pkg
  • ½ c Salsa
  • 2 oz Shredded cheddar cheese , (½ c)
  • 1 tbsp Dairy sour cream , if desired

Taco-seasoned breadsticks

  • 1 7pz can Pillsbury refrigerated soft breadsticks
  • ¾ tsp taco seasoning mix , from 1.25 oz pkg

Instructions
 

Microwave Directions

  • Sprinkle both sides of chicken with taco seasoning mix.
  • Place chicken in 8 in. square microwave-safe baking dish.
  • Pour salsa over chicken.
  • Cover with microwave-safe waxed paper.
  • Microwave on HIGH for 5 to 9 minutes or until chicken is fork tender and juices run clear, rotating dish once halfway through cooking.
  • Sprinkle evenly with cheese; microwave on HIGH for 45 to 60 seconds or until cheese melts.
  • Serve with sour cream.

Conventional Directions

  • Heat over to 375 F. Prepare chicken as directed, using 8 inch square baking dish.
  • Bake at 375 for 25 to 35 minutes or until chicken is fork tender and juices run clear.
  • Sprinkle evenly with cheese.
  • Bake an additional 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  • Serve with sour cream.

Taco-Seasoned Breadsticks

  • Heat oven to 350 F . Arrange strips dough on cookie sheet as directed on package.
  • Before baking, evenly sprinkle strips of dough with taco seasoning mix.
  • Bake as directed on package.
  • 5 breadksticks
