Quick Salsa Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 Large Boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 2 tsp taco. seasoning mix , from 1.25 oz pkg
- ½ c Salsa
- 2 oz Shredded cheddar cheese , (½ c)
- 1 tbsp Dairy sour cream , if desired
Taco-seasoned breadsticks
- 1 7pz can Pillsbury refrigerated soft breadsticks
- ¾ tsp taco seasoning mix , from 1.25 oz pkg
Instructions
Microwave Directions
- Sprinkle both sides of chicken with taco seasoning mix.
- Place chicken in 8 in. square microwave-safe baking dish.
- Pour salsa over chicken.
- Cover with microwave-safe waxed paper.
- Microwave on HIGH for 5 to 9 minutes or until chicken is fork tender and juices run clear, rotating dish once halfway through cooking.
- Sprinkle evenly with cheese; microwave on HIGH for 45 to 60 seconds or until cheese melts.
- Serve with sour cream.
Conventional Directions
- Heat over to 375 F. Prepare chicken as directed, using 8 inch square baking dish.
- Bake at 375 for 25 to 35 minutes or until chicken is fork tender and juices run clear.
- Sprinkle evenly with cheese.
- Bake an additional 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Serve with sour cream.
Taco-Seasoned Breadsticks
- Heat oven to 350 F . Arrange strips dough on cookie sheet as directed on package.
- Before baking, evenly sprinkle strips of dough with taco seasoning mix.
- Bake as directed on package.
